1,100 more Homes near Lee,

off Longfield Avenue, Fareham

A revised planning application by Hallam Land Management has reduced the number of houses from 1550 to 1100. The application can be viewed and comments made from the Fareham Borough Council Website, choosing the “Application Search” and using the reference number P/15/1279/OA but comments will only be accepted until the 25th March 2016 and will be published on the Fareham Borough Councils Planning Website.

LRA are objecting to this development on the grounds that it impinges on a Strategic Gap and that it will cause a significant increase in traffic congestion to Newgate Lane and Lee. With the number of new houses proposed within the approved major development area Welborn, north of the M27, alongside the A32, it should be unnecessary to add these additional homes off Longfield Avenue to meet the requirements of the South Hampshire Strategic Housing Market Assessment and recommendations. There were many objections against original 1550 housing application it will also be necessary to object to this revised application in the hope it will also be rejected by Fareham Council.
